I feel as if I would see this in a Dr.Seuss film or book. So modern.
As many may agree, caffeine products are a necessity for any college student’s way of life. Therefore, I felt a perfect blog post for my age group to read is the popular coffee company for OSU students called, Aspen. Its is located in three prime locations in Stillwater for its customers to enjoy its atmosphere for any occasion, which are in Lakeview Plaza, Fountain Square and downtown. All three locations are easy to find at any time of the day.
Aspen Coffee Company started in October 1994 by two owners named Matt and Kelly. Since the company was doing so well Aspen Coffee then decided to create two more stores, adding Brandon Stukey to the mix. He was incredibly inventive and brought the store a catering business, in which the city of Stillwater takes advantage of. A fun fact about the company is it roasts it’s own coffee. Giving the shop an upper-hand to other competitors in the area.
The store has a variety of coffee blends ranging from Central America to Indonesia. Furthermore, you can purchase such blends on their website, Aspen Coffee Company, which the company can directly ship to your desired address. My favorite blend that I order is called, “Colombia Supremo Tolima.” It is described as a rich creamy texture and a berry like aroma; it’s delicious.

Painting has always been an interest of my little sister, Haley. It’s a unique way to express her vivid imagination come to life. Last Thursday, I decided to go to Hobby Lobby to purchase an inexpensive art project for her to make. Since every child always seems to have pockets filled with loose change ranging from pennies to quarters I figured a piggy bank would be fitting.
I bought Haley’s three favorite colors; blue, green and purple and four different types of paint brushes that have special gripping pads. The ceramic piggy bank cost only $7.99.
I decided to take her to Oklahoma State’s social area where she munched on a Twix bar, listened to music and freely painted. Needless to say, she loved the idea and her piggy bank, Martin, was brightly decorated with not an ounce of white present.
By providing innovative art projects for Haley it makes her think outside the box and let her creative juices flow. I find many of my art projects were inspired by my mother and the activities that she did with me as a young child.
